Anyone know about Kis Astromatic Key Machines ?, and whether you can buy a
part for one anywhere ?
I am after a worn out cam part - made of die cast of course. The machine is
2 metres high, 48 cm round in a giant tall cylinder housing that has
keyblanks on a rotating rack, and storage under for keyblanks and the
automatic key machine in the middle. The top is perspex and lights up the
signs that advertise key cutting. Very snazzy looking point of sale item.

Never heard of it. Considered having a machinist make the part?

The things were invented in France after someone had trouble getting a
spare key cut - there were probably not too many serrures (locksmiths)
around. They also supplied steel blanks (ugh!) with the bow no wider
than the rest of the key and a plastic bow was slipped over it. This
meant that more keyblanks could be hung than normal.

Just happened to run across this group. I have one and still use it, would love to find a source for a new cutting wheel for it. Even though it is old, it still makes great keys.
Thank you,

Hi, did you trace a supplier for the cutting wheel, as I need one for mine, would love to know one if you managed to find one, cheers David.
